The Assistant Facility Security Officer reports to the Security Helpdesk Manager. The individual selected for hire will be responsible for maintaining the security program for 25-30 different small businesses. Functions include the processing of personnel security clearances via the e-QIP system, record maintenance, understanding of all Intelligence Community and US Department of Defense security requirements, administering security awareness training programs and preparing visit requests.

This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters. The successful candidate will provide support for all security functions in accordance with the DCIDs and NISPOM to include managing approximately 500 PCLs associated with collateral and SCI programs. Daily duties will include conducting new employee briefings, exit interviews and debriefings, investigating and reporting security violations, incident reports, and coordination of periodic re-investigations and preparation of DD254 forms for subcontractors. Annual duties include preparing refresher training, self-inspections and DSS security reviews.

 

Essential Job Functions:

•Initiate clearance investigations for new employees

•Initiate periodic re-investigations for employees

•Update and Maintain JPAS and ACCS for each client

•Enter and track all data in SEC-CON (similar to Access Commander and/or SIMS)

•Submit visit requests via JPAS, ACCS and other systems

•Conduct self-inspections every 6 months for each client

•Act as the Assistant FSO for 25-30 clients

•Fingerprint individuals via a Guardian Live Scan System and submit them via SWFT

•Provide document control numbers and maintain access rosters to safes

•Prepare and execute DD254s

•Assist in updating SPPs, Annual Training, and Foreign Travel Briefings

•Coordinate with the Defense Security Service

 

Requirements

•Must be certified as an FSO for possessing facilities via STEPP

•Must have extensive knowledge and experience utilizing JPAS

•Desired knowledge and experience utilizing ACCS

•Must have an Active Clearance and be able to maintain one

•Must be a US Citizen

•Must be able to travel to client sites for DSS Assessments

•Must have completed the Following DSS STEPP Courses (or will complete them prior to starting if selected)

•FSO for possessing facilities curriculum

•Establishing an Insider Threat Program

•Personally Identifiable Information (PII) (Must have completed within 12 months)

•Cyber Awareness (Must have completed within 12 months)

•JPAS/JCAVS Training
