Job Description

Project Manager will support and work closely with clients and contractor management during the design, development and implementation of complex enhancements to multiple platforms for WIC MIS or EBT projects.  The Project Manager will oversee the activities of project teams performing Planning, Procurement support, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and Quality Assurance (QA) services and Project Management Office (PMO).

  • Drives the work, and sets expectations for team members
  • Lead  Deputy PM (if applicable) as well as SR Business and Technical Analysts
  • Interface daily with the client and vendor(s)
  • Lead, attend and contribute in project meetings with client and vendor(s)
  • Responsible for the Cognosante team provides timely, high quality service and deliverables

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Client relationship and expectation management including working on a daily basis with key client leadership
  • Managing communication, coordination and performance of other stakeholders as needed
  • Contribute to setting required project pace by defining corresponding project and individual responsibilities, objectives, tasks, schedules, and outputs
  • Directly contribute to and share the responsibility for the project performance by planning, securing, monitoring and adjusting project resources (people, budget, material, time)
  • Manage project risks/issues/action
  • Develop client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
  • Provide recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
  • Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • PMP Certification 
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience with WIC MIS or EBT or similar health system
  • Remote work is available as long as candidate is open to frequent travel.

  • Knowledge of WIC requirements both federal and state
  • Knowledge of WIC retailer certification
